About Rachel

Rachel Taverner BMus (Hons) LRSM, is a pianist from Cheshire. She is an accomplished performer and piano teacher.

Her love of music from a young age led her to study at the Royal Northern College of Music where she graduated under the tutelage of Sally Ann Macleod. Whilst still at the RNCM she received the prestigious LRSM diploma in piano performance.

As a soloist Rachel plays a wide range of venues and in many different styles and genres. Her versatility has kept her sought after as a soloist and accompanist.

She has toured the country as a soloist, accompanist and chamber musician. Rachel has been lucky enough to be chosen to receive tuition from the renowned concert pianists Philippe Cassard and Stefano Fiuzzi.

Rachel is passionate about teaching piano to all ages which is why she studied for her Diploma in teaching once she had graduated. Rachel has many students making impressive progress, many have also received numerous awards in music festivals and she has taken students from beginner to grade 8 and beyond.
